Our organic Lapsang's smoky aroma and flavor comes from the tea's drying process, during which the tea leaves roast above a pine fire.
It is believed this tea came about by Accident. he people of Wuyi China where in the middle of harvest when the armies of the Qing dynasty started their approach. The Wuyi people quickly dried their fresh picked tea leaves over fires and then buried the tea in sacks to ensure it did not spoil until they were able to return.
